COVID Safety Procedures
Based on the current reporting of COVID infections in Australia the organising committee would like to model best practice behaviour at the conference to minimise risk.
Attendees are reminded not to attend if they:
- have returned a positive COVID-19 test within the last 7 days or a positive RAT that day
- are feeling unwell and displaying COVID-19 symptoms (loss or change in sense of smell or taste, fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath and runny nose)
- are a household / close contact (reference) with a person who has returned a positive COVID-19 test within the last 7 days.
For those attending the Conference:
- Mask wearing will be mandatory during the four-day conference, (preferably N95 masks). Please bring your own mask, however there will be masks available at the conference registration.
- A COVID rapid antigen test (RAT) must be undertaken prior to setting off to attend the conference. You may also take tests during the conference and there will be some available at the conference, upon request.
Delegates are required to declaration sign a form (provided in the final confirmation email or onsite) at the start of the event declaring that they have had a negative RAT result just prior to the conference, that they have no COVID symptoms and that they are not a household or a close contact of a person with COVID-19.
- Flexibility: We have a flexible registration system so that you can cancel or transfer your in-person registration to another person if you become unwell or if you feel uncomfortable about travelling and attending (note: refunds are based on the Ts&Cs and on individual situations. We can assist with documentation for you to make a claim with your insurance provider for any registration, travel or accommodation claims).
Other measures that have been implemented to reduce the risk of COVID-19 include:
- Contactless check in / registration available (use your barcode)
- KN95 masks available at registration
- COVID rapid antigen tests available, upon request
- Hand Sanitisation areas
- Reminders around social distancing and effective venue spacing
- A range of outdoor areas for networking
In addition, the Venue have implemented the following safety measures:
- All attendees will have to check in to the conference by registering and collecting their badge
- COVID compliant venue
- Adherence to current government space restriction and capacity
All attendees at the Conference will be required to comply with the COVIDSafe guidelines and protocols in place at the conference venue, which will be aligned and compliant with all relevant Government health advice during this time.
At the Conference, participants will be reminded to social distance where possible and follow the instructions of conference staff when entering the meeting rooms, or in public areas.
Being COVIDSafe is a shared responsibility, and we want you to enjoy and make the most of Conference in a safe way.
